About Me
When my twins were born premature, I found myself searching for a photographer to take “one good photo” of them when they finally came home from the hospital NICU. Life was hectic and as I emailed a number of photographers it began to feel like my simple request was going to be out of reach. Some were incredibly rigid and wouldn’t photograph newborns after the first 10 days. Some offered to take the photos but then wanted to charge per image I could receive. I went without the photos but wished I had found someone reasonable.
Soon after, I picked up my camera again and was determined to reach out to my community as the flexible and patient photographer they were looking for. The response has been overwhelming. The feedback I hear over and over is, “Thank you for making this easy!”.
I have no dogmas about how your session must go. I like to stay at a shoot until we get the shots you love. I like to bring toys and games to help interact with your kids and keep them engaged. I like to help with styling and location so your photos feel like you. I like to blend into your family event and capture all of the natural moments. I like to make you feel comfortable getting a head shot even if getting your picture taken makes you feel odd. I like to give you a break while I work on getting those natural smiles out of the kids for you. I like swaddling your newborn for you so you can get a moment to breathe. I like connecting with people and capturing the brief pauses in their lives before all that happy chaos picks up again. I like being creative.
I am an on-location photographer servicing NYC - NY, NJ, and CT. I am always happy to travel to your home or any beautiful location of your choosing for our photo sessions.
